Project record

Updates.

Changes to the project, research additions, educational material, collaborations, translations, and major milestones—kept in a simple chronological record.

UXO.ECO adopted as the public brand

The project moved from UXO.INFO to UXO.ECO to clearly distinguish its environmental and humanitarian public-awareness mission. UXO.INFO is intended to redirect path-for-path to UXO.ECO once the hosting configuration is active.

Mission, sources, and safety language strengthened

Added the Mission & End State page, centered on a world free from the threat of UXO/ERW; all reasonable effort; residual risk; and UXO.ECO’s hoped-for future as an archive. The terminology page now distinguishes UXO, AXO, ERW, and EO without treating them as synonyms.

Source library and video resources expanded

Added direct pathways to IMAS, UNMAS, ICRC, Landmine Monitor, Mine Action Review, EPA, NOAA, OSPAR, HELCOM, UXOInfo.com, and UXO.ECO video resources. The site does not present a worldwide UXO total: data must stay tied to a defined category, place, source, and date.

Review, contact, and site metadata refreshed

Added a last-substantive-review indicator, translation requests and issue reporting, canonical and social metadata improvements, and a new native favicon while retaining the credited UXO awareness symbol.

UXO.INFO V2 foundation

The site’s first V2 pass established a source-led home page, foundational UXO information, impacts and clearance overviews, a future-facing vision, resources, contact pathways, and symbol guidelines.

UXO awareness symbol introduced

The UXO awareness symbol became a core project mark, with public-interest use guidelines and permanent credit to MYWA WORKS.
